The LED panel has experienced rapid development since being invented, now it has already become an important product of panel display. With characteristics of high brightness, low power consumption and bright colors, the LED panel can complete real-time,diversity and dynamic information task,it is competent each kind of public situation. Now,effective energy conservation and environmental protection has become an important world issue. Therefore,to provide efficient power source is the key issue whether LED display technology can be extensively spread. On this question,a LED panel driving source of low power loss and small cost is designed in this thesis, and a scanning algorithm is researched in this foudation. In this thesis, half bridge switching power is used as the basic topology of the LED panel driving source.EMI filter, main circuit, control and driving circuit are designed;FPGA and the VHDL language is used to design closed-loop feedback which is based on PWM technology, this method has realized the basic requirement of power source whose output is constant voltage; besides, synchronous rectification is used in the rectification part of the power source, the lost of rectification is greatly reduced with the use of low-resistance power MOSFET.In the next part, the basic scanning algorithm of the LED panel has been researched, some general knowledge and concept of the LED panel is introduced, and with the use of FPGA and the VHDL language,a simple LED display array is designed. The simulation and the experimental study indicated that this electric circuit has a simple structure, and is controlled conveniently, and the scanning algorithm is simple and feasible.it has satisfied the basic request of the scanning control sequence of the LED panel.
