Virtual Instrument which is an advanced virtual test technology developed since the 1980s,has changed the test idea of the traditional measure instrument thoroughly and opened a new era of measurement. With the fast development of DSP technology and chips, the hardware on the basis of this technology has replaced the traditional signal detection and processing platform. It can simplify the calculation and analysis of the date, improve measurement accuracy and expand the scope of measurement. This method makes interaction between computer and person easier and more flexible.Based on above purpose, a system of data acquisition, processing and display is designed taking DSP chips of TMS320VC5402 as core. According to the demanded display, the data for LCD is generated using DSP and build up a virtual test system initially. The system mainly includes sampled data module, the DSP processing module, LCD interface module etc. The system software includes the procedures of DSP algorithm, communication with single chip computer, HPI bootloader and LCD drive etc.This system mainly does the work of acquisition and store for timing data, FFT calculation and generating displaying data diagram on LCD.With the development of application algorithms, a virtual environment and test system which is embedded in the relevant instruments will be build up. So it is to lay a foundation for improving and innovating on common experimental instruments through technology of DSP.
