Online Handwritten Uyghur Character And Word Recognition Based On The Platform

The Recognition of character is an important subfield of pattern recognition, atpresent, the recognition of Chinese and English character are very mature andsuccessful used in the business, but the research of recognition of Uyghur characterbegins later and gets less achievement. Along with the popularization of the mobileequipment, such as telephone and PDA, the handwritten input becomes an importantinteractive way, so it is necessary to research handwritten Uyghur recognition.Based on the detailed introduction of the characteristics of the Uyghur singlecharacter and Uyghur word, in this paper, we do a lot detailed research andexperimentation in Uyghur single character recognition and Uyghur word recognition toonline handwritten Uyghur character recognition. The main contents are as follows：1. This paper introduces the background and current situation, and analyzes thedifficulty of the online handwritten Uyghur character recognition. The handwrittenUyghur character contains single character and word recognition in the paper.2. This paper introduces the characteristics of Uyghur single character and Uyghurword in detail, which contain the Uyghur writing style, the form of connection. Weintroduce basic Uyghur characteristics and special handwritten Uyghur characteristics.3. This paper deeply focuses on the research of the recognition of Uyghur singlecharacter, and the recognition process includes four steps: pre-processing、featureextraction、classifier design and classifier integration, whose emphasis is classifierdesign and integration. We introduce three classifiers and their integration between eachother, and compare the performance of different algorithms by a large number ofexperiments.4. Based on the basis of the recognition of Uyghur single character, we propose themethod of the recognition of Uyghur word. The recognition process contains wordsegmentation、single character recognition and post-processing, whose emphasis ispost-processing. This paper introduces two post-processing ways and testifies theeffectiveness of two methods by doing experiments.5. We develop handwritten Uyghur character and word recognition on the mobilephone based on Windows Mobile.
