The Development Of The Three-Dimensional Parametric CAD System Of Glass Bottle

This paper analyses and compares the present status of glass bottle mould design of domestic and foreign situation. Based on the analyses of forming process and manufacturing engineering of glass bottle, a CAD (Computer Aided Design) system of glass bottle mould, named GBMCAD (Glass Bottle Mould CAD), is developed. It regards Pro/E as the developing platform, VC++ as the developing instrument to develop a part parametric design system by loading Pro/TOOLKIT applications and ACCESS database , and the system can draw the mould schedule drawing with the data produced in mould design process automatically. The followed works have been done in the paper:1) The character of the further development interface of the Pro/Engineer, namely Pro/Toolkit was analyzed and the environment, the course, the methods and the tools of further development using Pro/Toolkit were discussed.2) The detailed study has been made about the interactive UI technology, feature-modeling technology, parametric design technology, automatic assembly technology that are related to the further development by means of Pro/Toolkit. The principle and focus methods of these technologies are analyzed. A detailed development flow is established to realize the correlative technique using C/C++.3) The detailed study has been made about manufacture technics of the glass bottle and the design process of mould and achieved computer aided design in mould design process automatically based on it.
