| This paper studied and realized measurement of primary quality of service (QoS) parameters. The result of our work can effectively obtain the performance characteristics and QoS parameters of IP network and further improve the QoS.This paper first introduces the QoS infrastructure and measurement parameters. Secondly, the measurement algorithm of packet loss rate, latency and available bandwidth are studied and improved. Through the improvement of an existing packet loss rate measurement algorithm, fast measurement and burst data functions are realized in the new packet loss algorithm. In network latency measurement, we improve the simple delay algorithm, eliminate the clock and position error and make the result more precise. As for the available bandwidth measurement, the packet-pair algorithm is modified to detect background traffic and make the metrical result more precise. Finally, three ways of network optimization are summarized based on the result of network performance measurement. |
