The Application Of Data Exchange Of Hetergeneous On Campus Network Based XML

With the application of Campus networks widely, the technology of Campus networks are growing rapidly. Many universities have put "Digital Campus" on their agenda, develop the university informationization construction. But It's a complicated engineering of "Digital Campus" and span long time to build. On the process of consummate, There are many problems appeared. These systems are developed mostly by the local department, But the intercommunication and resources sharing cannot be processed among the application systems which are different in DBMS and database structures, so the isolated islands of information had be formed, which led to lateness and disagreement and the low using rate. Therefore, it is a necessary choice for the "Digital Campus" construction to effectively exchange and integrate the data format.The thesis based on data heterogeneous of campus network, according to the demand of data exchange on different heterogeneous database systems, it presents the model of the heterogeneous data exchange based on XML. It establishes the foundation to improve the management the resource of campus network information.The thesis firstly studies the related technology of database access technology, analyzes the traditional data interchange methods and problems, investigate the technology of XML and the advantage in data exchange. It provides a solving scheme that heterogeneous data integration based on XML. This thesis discusses the main part of the universal data interchange platform-the data interchange of heterogeneous databases. It analyzes the possibility of XML based data interchange from the aspects of schema binding of XML and relation database, data format binding of XML and relation database as well as the implementation of large object data interchange between isomeric database by using XML. Finally, it develops a XML base three-layer model for implementing data interchange of isomeric database and implements the data interchange between Oracle database and SQL Server 2000 database by using JDBC and DOM API through XML under the JAVA environment.
