Manufacturing is a mainstay of the national economy of our country, it takes up the central station in the second industry. The manufacturing in 21st century is in an ever-changing market that becomes more competitive every day and tends to be globalized, multi-directional and diversified. How to improve the core competitive strength of a corporation in short order? A very important thing is resorting the technology of informationization to drive the course of industrialization, in order to realizing leapfrog development, and strengthen the competitive strength of a corporation.MES is an important part of enterprise informatization, it fills the communication gap between the manufacturing planning system and the control systems used to run equipment on the shop floor. It manages, tracks and controls the producing process and roundly integrates the producing process with labors, materials, equipments and Wips(Work-in-process).Firstly, the background, objective and meaning of the project are introduced. After summarizing the essence, functions model of MES and research on MES, discussing the method and the mathematical model of job shop schedule, and then the functions model of job shop schedule is presented. After analyzing theory of software engineering, the author designs a solution of the integrated MES and establishes the system's architecture and functions model. Study of the pivotal technology which is related Wips tracking management is a emphasis of this project, in order to realizing real time tracking, the author presents a system's architecture of Wips tracking management based on RFID(Radio Frequency Identification). Based on the precious studies, the prototype of integrated MES has been developed and some examples are given.Finally, conclusions are drawn and the further works of the project are pointed out.
