As the rapidly grown of China economy, the need of steel is being increased too. As the matter of fact, the whole iron and steel industry has become the backbone of China economy. Sintering is one of the most important techniques in iron and steel industry, the quality of sinter ore directly affects the output of blast furnace, so how to improve the quality of sinter ore is always a question that we need to focus on. As we all known, blending for sinter ore is a very complicated but the most important procedure in sintering technique, a well blending can result a good quality on sinter ore, a bad blending can also cause a waste on sinter ore. Although we knew the fact, but the system of blending for sinter ore is far more complicated than we can control, it is a complicated system and very hard to build a mathematical model to be analyses. In this condition, the original PID control system is hard to do a real time control , because the original PID control system has a large overshoot magnitude, long adjusting time disadvantage, and also its parameter can not be adjusted on real time, and the system itself is hard to be maintained.This paper brings forward a new type of PID controller——a PID controller with dead-zone., by which we can easily control the quantity of each material within a margin of error that the PLC defined to improve the productivity and reduce the numbers of instrument in workshop.In this paper, we use the blending system in the 5th sinering plant of the Wisco as a example to carry on a research on the following subjects, 1.The discrimination of least squares method on the controlled object model in blending system. 2. The use of electronic balance in blending metage. 3. The first line PLCs'communication with position machine through industry ethernet. 4. The dead-zone PID modification use in automatic blending system.
