Multimedia streaming service such as Mobile TV is becoming mobile killer application with progressive 3G application. However, mobile internet is different from traditional (fixed) internet such as lower bandwith, so the quality and capacity of streaming service is dramatically limited under traditional C/S structure. Recently, researchers are working on P2P mobile video streaming network based on resource of rich users of both mobile and fixed internet. In this thesis, the feasibility and performance of P2P system in real mobile network is examined and analyzed. Mobile P2P structure in real mobile network is feasible. Moreover, performance of multi-source download mobile P2P network is much better than that of single-source network, which helps upgrade Qos of wireless mobile streaming applications. Then, an overlay network scheme based on mobile network is proposed. We analyze the feasibility of this type of P2P overlay network and propose some necessary conditions of the scheme. A bandwith allocation scheduler is proposed for end points in overlay network infrastructure. Moreover, a system optimization is also proposed to upgrade quality of service.
