The definition of NGN of ITU-T includes such concepts: NGN is a packet-based network; It can provide multi-services including common telecommunication services; It has QoS ability; The service related functions and the underlying transport-related technologies are totally separated; It supports generalized mobility which will allow consistent and ubiquitous provision of services to users. So the Next Generation Network should be syncretic network.The service platform still has the advantages to provide medium-little-sized services flexibly in the future network. But it is still hard to provide multi-media services which include data and image communications. The application and development of the service platform was hardly tied by the unitary signal system seven accessing ability. So the service platform should provide multi-media services in the future network.The underlying accessing ability to multi-protocols is needed by the multi-media services. The accessing ability to other protocols can be achieved by rebuilding our signal system seven accessing system. But the workload and complexity of the whole accessing system were dramatically increased by rebuilding the old system to fit every new protocol. It is also hard to maintain such a big system. So the architecture of the accessing system was proposed to solve these problems. By providing one architecture to supply common abilities, the adding of each protocol becomes easy and efficient. Then the architecture was proved to be stable and efficient in the application of the architecture in the accessing system. At last, the expand of the architecture was analyzed and opened up.
