Design And Implementation Of The Multi-Protocol Integrated SMS Accessing Platform

Intelligent network is a network architecture added on the telecommunication network, allowing new services to be contributed rapidly and efficiently. The aim of the architecture is to serve all the telecommunication networks, including not only Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), Narrowband Integrated Service Digital Network (N-ISDN), but also mobile telecommunication network and Broadband IP Network.Compared with other intelligent networks, mobile intelligent network has some new features, such as having more services, interfaces and call amount. Pre-paid short message service (SMS) is one of the services that mobile intelligent network provides. The using situation of SMS service is carefully described in the thesis. Integrated Multi-protocol SMS Accessing Platform is brought forward as an improving method basing on some characteristics of the service and limitations of the current implementing method.Now the SMS service is growing rapidly. The amount of the message sent is also expanding rapidly. But the limitations of the prepositive SMS system in the CMIN02-SCP system such as too many releases, single SMS communication protocol supporting, low expanding capability of new services, and long cycle of new requirements. These limitations bring to the shortage in software maintenance, processing ability and responding new requirements. Integrated Multi-protocol SMS Accessing Platform can resolve these problems.
