Analysis On Main Source Media Report Frame Of China-Asean Expo

As closer political and economic connection between China and ASEAN, national premier Wen jiabao proposed the China-ASEAN Expo held in Nanning annually from 2004, which is warmly welcomed by all ASEAN country leaders.As a comprehensive international exhibition, China-ASEAN Expo provides a great opportunity of long-term cooperation between all ASEAN members and greatly promotes economic cooperation in ASEAN region.The Expo attracts a lot of attentions in media, which in there own way differ in extent, degree and content. This paper takes the examples of three typical newspapers, People Daily, Guangxi Daily and Nanguo Morning Paper. This paper concludes: People Daily reports China-ASEAN Expo in a big diplomatic political frame work, Guangxi Daily does it in a domestic political way, while Nanguo Morning Paper in a carnival report framework. People Daily reveals the audience that the expo is a great international event with economic benefit. And the presence of central leaders shows great concern for this event. Guangxi Daily describes the event in a larger and more detailed scope, from expo itself, government preparation, the meeting of local leaders to economic achievement. It shows a great image of a successful international exchange event. Nanguo Daily is different from the two. It tells residents that expo is not only a big international event, but also a festival to Nanning citizens. It could greatly influence people's life and is accepted by people with great enthusiasm and joy.
