Wireless sensor network is a kind of self-organization wireless network which takes the data as center. The node in network is intensive, huge quantity and covering a large area, the network topology is dynamic,and the network was self-organization and self- modulation.As one of the wireless sensor networks support technology, time synchronization technology is a critical application. By the energy and cost constraints, the traditional network time synchronization algorithm obviously can not meet the requirements of wireless sensor (this paper is ZigBee nodes) networks. Therefore the focus of this paper is to design an energy -efficient time synchronization algorithm.In this new technology of ZigBee, the sleep mechanism is in order to reduce power consumption, and also work together to ensure that the equipment of the ZigBee network.Clock synchronization is very important, it can provide proper equipment for each clock Information, improve the quality and efficiency of transmission in the system.In the paper, the author analyzes the IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee protocol stack and the existent wireless sensor synchronization algorithms, summed up the advantages and disadvantages of these algorithms. This article focused on the characteristics of ZigBee technology, use of ZigBee technology in the two nodes determine the distance between the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator, receiver signal strength indication) to select the parameters of ZigBee node-jump distance communications within the margins and lower deck as the node Nodes linked to routing nodes and other nodes only as an ordinary node, in the process of synchronization can not afford routing capabilities, and its upper reach of routing nodes simultaneously. This paper presents a general reduction in the process of routing simultaneously the number of nodes, thus improving the routing node between the relative routing node clock synchronization with the ordinary nodes required for the exchange of information on the number of number of shortcomings and greatly reduce the required synchronization Communication expenses, to extend the application of ZigBee nodes in sync in working life.Based on the Linux environment, based on the Network Simulation 2 open-source software, building a network simulation platform, the paper used by the improved algorithm, TPSN algorithm and STSP algorithm simulation, the algorithm is given three simulation results contrast, Algorithm to improve the performance of the successfully verified.Jennic based on the company's JN5121-ZigBee controller and the BOS (Basic Operation System) the basic operating system built experimental development platform, the platform to achieve this by improving the wireless sensor network clock synchronization algorithm, and in their own form of simple wireless Sensor networks to achieve a clock synchronization application. In preparation for the experiment also produced a ZigBee-based equipment UART with the general population of PC Serial RS-232 serial port connector and a serial output of the importation of four communication module. Finally, the article lists the realization of the platform design, experiment ,test results and give the improved proposal of the process.
