The Exploration Of Narrative Art In TV Investigative Report

Narratology is a theory to study the narrative works and the narrative behavior specially. TV is the most popular narrative media in the mass communication history. TV investigative report is the most typical and most influential narrative behavior in TV news programmes. "News Probe" is the symbol of TV investigative reports in China. It is the highest production standards of TV investigative report in China. In order to analyze TV investigative report with narrative theory thoroughly, the paper puts emphasis on the examples of "News Probe" . So, combining theory with practice, it can let us understand the communication rules of TV investigative report, and guide us to use the text of TV better. China TV investigative report will be more mature and influential in future.This paper mainly divides into four parts. The first part introduces narratology, TV investigative report, and the meaning of using narratology to analyze TV investigative report briefly. With narrative theory, the second, third, forth parts explore the TV investigative report in three respects: "story" , "discourse structure" , "narrator and the audience" . The analysis of "story" focuses on the characteristic of subjects, figures and structure about TV investigative report. "Discourse structure" analyses the TV investigative report by dividing into three aspects: characteristics of the time, focusing and the meaning of images. Because "narrator" is the key factor in TV investigative report, I concentrate on the narrator and the relationship between narrator and audience in the last part.
