With the development of Internet, the bugs in Ipv4 network design become increasingly prominent, especially the defects like the short of IP storage space, network insecurity, QOS and transferable deficiencies hinder greatly the Internet progress. However, IPv6 hopefully could solve the above problems. Although IPv6 is based on Ipv4, both of them are incompatible. At present, a challenging issue is how to transit from Ipv4 to Ipv6 with less cost, till to replace Ipv4 with Ipv6. Of course process is still very long.Network's complicacy, significance and security become now more and more eminent, and the port to port control technology is widely applicable as a chief safe mode. The 802. 1X is actually a PTP technology of more useful value though it still has lots of problems to solve, for example, the 802. 1X authentication in IPv6, the 802. 1X function expanding, and the safety of uncontrollable port. This paper mainly discusses how to achieve 802. 1X authentication in IPv6 and its related AAA system, and preliminarily realize and test the above thoughts.Chinese Education and Research Net (CERNET) has implemented the networking among all the provincial capitals. And it will not to be long for CERNET2 to link all the universities, hence it is highly significant to study and carry out IPv6 digital campus networking. And the IPv6 digital campus networking and its further application research will facilitate the IPv6 development in China. The thesis includes two parts. First part is to analyze the present widely applied AAA system and to evaluate its merits and demerits. An authentication and accredit system fee charging model for the campus networking will be designed and put into practice in this part. The second part is to work out a pure IPv6 authentication system good for the authentication and accredit system fee charging under the IPv6 protocol LAN. This paper is completed with the help of present laboratory equipments and facilities of our school and it also offers technical support and theoretical fundamentals for further development and application.
