Design And Implement Of Handset Digital Television Reception Platform Based On ISDB-T Standard

With the development of communication technology,embedded system technology and digital television technology ,the handset has not been limited with calling function as traditional communication tool . Now the handset have been integrated more technology including calling,reciving/sending data,reciving/sending video etc. Especially the handset digital television is expected by consumers , thus it has bright future in the market. At present, the standard of china terrestrial digital mobile television has not been made sure, thus the service of mobile digital television has not been entirety developed. But Japan ,the neighbor of china , its broadcast of mobile digital television based ISDB-T standard has been put in use in the city of Tokyo on April,2006, and there are more and more handsets with the function of receiving the mobile digital television signal , which is favored by japanese consumers. In my thesis, according to the develop of Japanese handset digital television, the reception platform of handset digital television is designed, which is based ISDB-T standard.The thesis refers to the process of the design and implementation of mobile digital television reception platform based the ISDB-T technology, which focus on the design for hardware and software. The hardware design comprises ARM evaluation board and SH-Mobile evaluation board with many exteral modules. The software design includes the application program based linux on PC , the modules of MFI,network driver on the ARM board based Linux , many modules of drivers on the SH board based ITRON RTOS . the design involves many key technology such as ISDB-T standard,MPEG-2 TS layer structure,Linux OS and related application,ITRON criterion etc.The thesis also refers to the function test of handset digital television reception platform, which includes the function test of several modules on PC,ARM board,SH board and the system test of entire reception platform. By function test, the design of reception platform achieves the expected result in the respect of function, performance and efficiency,system stability. Furthermore, in the thesis the further develop scheme is put forward for the mobile digital television reception platform, which involves how to update from the reception platform to the handset digital television model and how to change the reception platform to the portable digital television reception terminal etc. Lastly, the market and economy potential is evaluated for the product of Handset Television and the product of Handset Television is greatly expected, which use the Chinese domestic standard.
