Embedded Linux possesses great application value, So it had beenthe hotspot of Information technology research and is widely used ininformation appliance, Communication device, industry control . butEmbedded Linux has deficiency caused by GNU, So there is greatchallenge in applying it on a special hardware device. This paperimplements an Embedded Linux on the platform of ARM chip(AT91RM9200) and discusses the process of porting Linux and key issuesfaced in development. Firstly ,the thesis summarizes the characters of arm and EmbeddedLinux;Secondly presents the hardware design of developing platform indetail;Thirdly on the base of hardware platform, tells of the process ofdeveloping Linux and work needed to do porting Linux to a special platform,including Porting U-BOOT, compiling and trimming Linux kernel, makingfilesystem, design of Linux drivers in detail;finally introduces some usefultechnic of debugging hardware and software in the Embedded Linuxdevelopment and gives some experience in the design and debug. |
