"Intelligent" lighting technique has developed rapidly, and has become one important development direction of lighting technique as intelligent architecture rises. We have discussed common human visual characteristics briefly, and investigated typical design methods of artificial lighting illuminous environment in the house from the residence illumination standard, the confirmation of lighting mode, the choice of light sources, and the choose of lamps and lanterns etc aspects in the paper. When approaching lighting design, the usage characteristics of each function room where the activities would take place should be analyzed first so as to lighting system can provide a visual needed luminous environment simultaneously saving energy to realize green lighting.We have also analysed the factor that influences the quality of artificial lighting luminous environment in the house. Aiming at investigative topic《study on the town residential quality of lighting》, the auther have evaluated roundly the lighting quality of some resident area in Xi'an by the application of the fuzzy synthetical evaluation theroy. Engineering practice certificates it is valid to apply the theory of fuzzy synthetical evaluation to the quality evaluation of lighting engineering, considering the indeterminate factor of lighting quality evaluation index system, as well as the fuzzy, unfixed assessable language brought by the experts's evaluation to the lighting quality.The biggest characteristic of the fuzzy evaluation is of science of index, extensive representative of thinking concepts and objective equity of evaluation. It not only has the abililty to be realistic, and decreases the influence of subjective will of the lighting designer with regard to the influence of economy, environment, psychology, and art etc, but also gives a full expression to objective equity of engineering design. Establishment of index system and its allotment of weight coefficient on the one hand should accord relevant standard and norm, on the other hand could choose from a number of alernatives which usually obtain from the analysis of statistic data or the valuation of many experts according personal experience of the designer.With the development of intelligent control technique quickly, which is more and more subjected to concern of the people, and also represents the development direction of control theory by means of the extension of application realm continuously.Various techniques of intelligent decision system, expert control system, study control system, fuzzy control system, nerve network control system etc have already began to permeate from industry produce, office automation to the family automation. The intelligent control and normal control have close relationship, that they mutually complement one another rather than repel each other.Finally, the author applied fuzzy control theory to fuzzy control system design of artificial lighting illuminous environment in the house, the fuzzy control system could convert corresponding scene by the method of fuzzy control according to the signal from a feeling machine which could probe into occurrence condition of luminous environment on the scene, after artificial nerve network system offline study main characteristics of dissimilar luminous environment. This mothod allow the rule of fuzzy control having certain error margin, which could be revised at any time according to actual circumstance.
