The concept of COP(Common Operational Picture) is for solving the problem of information exchange sharing, fusion and integrative display in the global battlefield space, and COP is widely used in the world's military powers. COP is the integration platform and visual system about digital global battlefield spatial information, the aim of which is to provide senior commanders with enhanced situational awareness capability. Display of situation information and visualization is the core in the system function of COP, so the related technologies of COP have been a key research field.Firstly, this thesis summarizes many literatures about COP system and battlefield information visualization technology. Then it analyses battlefield situation and battlefield situation information, and it particularly studies the concept of COP system for the purpose of joint battlefield situation. Then this thesis summarizes the current situation COP systems and information visualization technology, and it presents a COP situation information visualization technology architecture of COP. On this basis, in order to solve the problem of the space of troops and military information visualization of information visualization standard overlapping, a enhanced visualization methods based on the computational geometry and two different platforms against the military symbol overlap solution are proposed as follows:(1) Based on the geometry of space forces visualization methods, this thesis carries out a detailed study on theoretical foundation, including perceptual psychology, Delaunay Triangle concept and model generation algorithm.(2) In the military symbol overlap visualization methods, the 3D environment and the military standard two-dimensional plane overlapping issues are solved, using the 3D computer graphics theory and observation of the two-dimensional rectangular plane collision detection algorithm.Finally, visual effects demo is shown in experimental platform, testing the feasibility of the algorithm in situational awareness and the ability to enhanced battlefield decision support capability.
