The Design And Implementation Of The Data Analysis System For Petrochemical Plant Maintenance Cost

With the rapid development of information technology, knowledge economy keeps the leading role in the economic development. We obtain data through various ways every minute, so how to use those data to get potential information is a challenge issue for us.The establishment of DSS (Decision Support System) based on real time database is a good method to deal with data and to provide support for decision. It is also a worthy research direction in future. Using the technology of data warehouse and data mining based on the DSS system to help managers to make decision is very common in the field of finance and retail and. But for manufacture enterprises, those researches are very few.This paper analyzes the maintenance cost data from the engineer department of YPC-BASF Company. It firstly establishes a graphic reporting system which can dynamically create graphic reports for the managers. Then do the OLAP (online analysis process) in many dimensions according to the requirements from managers. In the last part of the paper, it uses decision tree method to discover some useful information from historic data. The analysis process is done by SQL Server 2005, and the realization of the reporting system is done by Delphi 7.The research on petrochemical plant with data warehouse and data mining technology is very rare now, so this paper has the actual meaning for application.
