MCU (Micro Control Unit) is widely used in every domain of people's daily life. Generally, the courses of MCU and other related have been opened in the Electronic information Majors of many colleges in our country. In the process of teaching and learning the MCU and interface technology courses, the experiment is essential. With the rapid development of MCU and interface technology, at present the experimental instrument offered by market isn't able to completely meet the demands of teaching and learning, and the construction of the experiment teaching simulation system of MCU which is low-cost, technologically advanced, easy to update, has practical significance to the MCU teaching and the raise of talented person in MCU domain of our country. Aiming at the defects of present MCU experimental instruments, and referencing the actual requirements to experimental instruments in the present teaching, this paper designed and developed a new type of experiment teaching simulation system of MCU by using modular design of the structure. The experiment teaching simulation system of MCU is composed by the motherboard and several experimental boards of I2C serial bus expansion. The motherboard part integrates the ISP in-system programming part, the MCU simulator part, the MCU basic experiment electric circuit part and the expansion diversification interface and bus part. The simulation part is realized by using the MCU SST89E564RD, and the simulation development environment for debugging uses the Keil C51 programming, development and debugging software of German KEIL Corporation.The core CPU of the experiment teaching simulation system of MCU uses the MCU SST89E564RD, which is promoted by American SST Corporation, widely used, compatibility strong, powerful and low prices. Because this kind of MCU integrates many widely used function parts, so this MCU selection plan effectively reduces the system complexity and cost, and simultaneously it enhances the system reliability. The experiment teaching simulation system of MCU has stable performance, highly integrated functionality. It sets simulator, programming, experimental functions in a whole, and can be carried out comprehensive MCU experiment project study. The modular design concept causes various interface experiment to be mutually independent, and the experimental content proceeds in an orderly way. Using this experiment teaching simulation system platform, besides may complete the basic principle experiment of MCU learning, but also may carry on the MCU serial and parallel peripheral interface expansion experiments. It qualifies students in the experimental courses, graduate design, electronic design contests, and all of the different experimental stage and practice, and can help students to carry on the independent development experiment and cultivate the spirits of innovation and creativity.In this paper,first of all it analyzed the current problems of the teaching process of MCU, discussed the feasibility and necessity to develop a new-style experiment teaching simulation system of MCU, and introduced the focus work of the paper. Then it discussed the overall design of the modulation structural of the experiment teaching simulation system of MCU, mainly completed how to make choice of the simulation MCU selection, the system function description, the overall logical structure design as well as the introduction of the MCU simulation software development environment Keil C51. Next it elaborated the electric circuit planning and design of the motherboard of the experiment teaching simulation system of MCU, including the simulator design, the ISP in-system programming function design, the basic experimental module as well as the expansion interface bus design, explained the various parts of the work principle, gave specific hardware circuit schematic connection.As serial bus technology is the future trends of MCU technology development, next it focused on the introduction of I2C serial bus expansion technology as well as the design of experimental boards of I2C serial bus expansion. Finally, it discussed the method of improving experiment teaching of MCU by using this system, gave some specific examples of experimental teaching design, and made a system summary for the paper.
