Grid Software Testing Automation Framework Research And Implementation

The software testing occupies the very important position in the whole development process of software. It is the key that guarantees the quality and improves the credibility of software. With the development of software design,the increment of software scale,the shortening of software development life cycle,the increment of software testing workload, it is the inevitable trend of the evolution of software testing technology that we use software testing automation technology to improve the speed and efficiency of software testing,shorten the development life cycle and reduce the cost. Therefore, it makes good sense to develop an effective,reusable,maneuverable testing automation framework.This paper introduces the theories of software testing and testing automation. Also it gives a comparison of several common testing tools on the market, researches the features and difficulties of grid software testing. It puts forward a new testing automation framework model Testgrid and scripting syntax specification, which meet the special needs of grid software testing, also it gives the detailed designs and implementation of this framework. Testgrid solves the problems such as bad cross-platform-ability and scalability,bad scripting facility,complexity of log management,hardness of problem tracing,bad self-robustness etc. Finally it finishes the framework's validation in a company's grid software as well as its assessment of application and benefit analysis.
