With the rapid developing of national economy, the voltage class of the power system in our country is continuously increased, and the bad influence of the contamination flashover gets more and more serious. Meanwhile, along with the development of computer,new energy sources,communicate,tiny electricity collection in strong electromagnetism, these technology provide guarantee for the research of on-line examine. Therefore, the software development of insulator contamination on-line monitoring system is feasible and has a very important significations and practicality value.This article based on projects design criterion aims at the severity and variety burst out accident on high voltage and super high voltage transmit electricity wire, and designs high voltage on-line monitoring system of insulator which intends to via real time, long-distance monitor realize the function of insulators. This system realizes real-time remote-monitoring on transmission line insulator contamination, and sends out alarm messages before excess contamination, thus directing in time the clearing of insulators on transmission lines.In connection with on-line telemetry criterion, an on-line remote-monitoring system of insulator contamination on transmission lines has been developed, which transmits data based on the short message service (SMS) of the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM).This paper describes the theory, system composition, technical features and application of the system, expounding the software function and feature. Multi-threading technology is used to implement GSM communication,insulator status analysis,ZedGraph control drawing and the management of database.The system is based on.NET framework, developed by using C# language ,used AD0.NET data storage technology and Microsoft SQL 2005 database, meanwhile, multi-threading technology is used to send information's or order's short messages , a set of parameters for information communications use handshake mechanism to ensure reliability of communications. The structure of the overall system design is comprehensive, which every function has been completed and this software is tested on site, which is in accordance with criterion of remote on-line projects design.
