The intellectualized deVelopment of the product design indicates that naturallanguageistheinevitabletrendinman-machineinteractive.This article probes into introducing natural language in mechanism design fieldwhich makes that computer itself can understand the design requirements expressed byuser's natural language and then convert the final understanding to conceptual designrequirements in order to support the subsequent design and improVe the efficiency ofproduct design. The most important point discussed in this article is sentenceunderstandings which contain'V+de'structure, especially complex sentencesunderstandingswhichcontainstructure'V+de'structure.Firstly, this article analyzes traits of kinds of'V+de'structure sentences inmechanism design field from syntax, semantic and pragmatics and then finallydetermine the classification suitable for computer understanding and bring forward theunderstanding model suitable for complex sentences which contain structure'V+de'structure.Secondly,use conceptual dependencytree expressingrelatiVe concepts inthisfield and complete most of the arithmetic and program for implementing the modelbased on conceptual dependency theory after compared a few more mature semanticexpressing methods. Finally, apply this model into mechanism design field; build theprototype of concept design and relatiVe repositoryand at last pass the system test afterdebuggeditwithothermodelofNLUsystem.Thesystemworkswell.
