With the improvement of the standard of living, awareness of production safety has greatly improved and the safety requirement to engineering has prompted to a new level. As a result, supervising the engineering process becomes more important. With the evolution of wireless technology, more and more distributed wireless data collecting systems that based on wireless technology have been used. Applying wireless technology to engineering security will be significant. Local multi-nodes wireless data collecting system which has real-time character and good scalability is the major subject of research. It plays an important role in ensuring the quality and safety of the engineering. The purpose of the research is for remote monitoring the working process of the drill machines that are close to each other and fetch the real-time data. The research meets the demands of real-time monitoring, solves the previous problems such as over high cost caused by node increases, the data transmission security and so on. It will help manager to access to real-time work status, improve decision-making and management, and promote the safety of information. This paper is based on the specific demand in subject of waterproof and urban infrastructure and analyzed a large number of existing remote monitoring systems, and describes software design and hardware layout in details. And then a system that based on the core protocol between drill and local center is implemented. The system has strong practicability, reliability and wide foreground. It has the advantages of clear framework, low coupling between components, easy to be integrated with applications, and it adapts to changes in demand better. Now it is used in practical engineering and will bring much economic benefit.
