With the development of information technology and Internet technology, the remote measurement&control technology has greatly progressed. The technology has many characters, such as mass of data, many data types and frequently changing data. In the advanced control system, a fine database is the kernel of data dispose, organization and management. So the research of control system database is a important task of promoting the advantage of control system. As far as the remote measurement&control system concerned, database commonly uses mature relation database, such as Oracle, SQL server, or uses the real-time database, such as Industrial SQL. Such technologies guarantee the steadily running of large control system because of their mature techniques and high reliability. These years, with the development of object-oriented database, object-oriented database has demonstrated the advantages of data expression ability, data storage efficiency and data interface. The database of the remote measurement&control system must develop in the direction of integrating the strongpoint of each database in the engineering field. The technology amalgamation of relation database and object-oriented database has become the tendency of engineering database. At present, this technology is developing very rapidly in China, but the uniform standard hasn't been established. Many definitions are connected with application fields and haven't come into being a set of theory. This paper, by using object-oriented method, has studied database manage system and data model of real-time database on the basis of relation database. Aimed at the remote measurement&control system database of Chengdu thermoelectricity factory, paper has put forward a new idea of designing database and demonstrated the real-time database manage system of information points. This paper is divided into three parts. The first part is from the first chapter to the third chapter. This part mainly introduces, data model, hiberarchy and the realization of database. The second part is the fourth andfifth chapter. In this part, the detailed practice demonstrates a real-time database of information points. The sixth chapter is the last part, which concludes this paper.
