ITS(Intelligent Transport System)can make traffic more safe and improve the efficiency of utilization of the road, and it is already becoming a hot area of research and many enterprises focus on this potential market. World's fair of 2008 will be held in Shanghai. There will be many visitors to come to Shanghai at that time. The transport system of Shanghai will face a great challenge because of the great number of persons coming from many countries. In order to make Shanghai become one of the international center of economy,finance,trade and ship and then make it achieve the goal that it become a city of world class. The realization of all these things also need a good transport system .And at this background the paper decides to research on vehicle dynamic monitoring and dispatching experimental platform system.In this paper the compose and the plan of design of the vehicle dynamic monitoring and dispatching experimental platform system are further researched based on the work of the lab of Navigation and Control Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong university and in this paper the relative theories of the research are also introduced. The hardware and software of the platform are designed and the system can simulate the real vehicle dispatching and control system well by experiment.The whole system from structure can be divided into the center of vehicle dynamic monitoring and dispatching and vehicle carried terminal. And it can also be divided into monitoring and dispatching center,wireless data transfer system,vehicle location system and vehicle control system. The relative theories consist of MapX based monitoring center theories, the theories of GPS(Global Positioning System) and DR(Dead reckoning System), and the data fusion arithmetic----particle filter that used by GPS and DR integrated navigation system in this paper.The main tasks made by the paper can be shown by the following:(1)The hardware of vehicle carried terminal based on controller STC89C51 is designed. And the control to the motion of vehicle is realized by wireless data transfer module.(2)The software of dispatching and control center based on control of MapX is designed. And this software can be used to show and store the information of position of vehicle and it can also be used to sent control information to the vehicle.(3)GPS and DR integrated system based on particle filter is designed in this experimental platform. And it shows that particle filter can get a good result in improving the positioning precision and reliability of the system.(4)The whole system is debugged based on the debugging of vehicle control systemand dispatching and control center system to simulate the real vehicle control and dispatching system.It shows that the vehicle dispatching and control system can be used to control and monitoring the motion of vehicle by experiment. And this makes a good basis for the research of intelligent traffic system.
