Research On System Of GPS/DR Vehicle Tracking Based On GSM Network

Nowadays, more and more attention is focused on Vehicle Navigation and Positioning techniques. However, the far-ranging application of vehicle navigation system suffers from many factors, which include cost, technique, performance and function etc. Aimed at these problem, this thesis studied and developed rivalrous, low-cost vehicle navigation equipment. Researches are mainly focused on the following aspects:Developed Navigation computer based on Microcontroller 80C196KC, reduced the cost of the device of vehicle navigation.Researched into RTOS (Real Time Operation System). RTOS can manage code effectively and has changed traditional operation mode. It prepared the system for more complex, more advanced grade.Realization of KF by using C language faced on C196 in navigation computer. C196 is a compiled language which is compatible with ANSI C. It has plenty of library function and good removability, has enormously reduced developing time.Studied the technology of communication in GPS vehicle tracking system and SMS(Short Message Service), and presents a method using Wavecom WMOD2B Modem to realize transfer of navigation data. It introduces the characteristics and usage of the hardware, whilst analyzes how to program to fulfill the transmission function of the system.
