At present, the power factor is small and the pollution of harmonic is very serious in power system, which affects the quality of electric power energy. In view of such a situation, this dissertation puts forward a way that apply active power filter to compensate with reactive power and harmonic, which increases the power factor.This dissertation is a part of the project of Flexible Alterative Current Distribution System which is belongs to School Fifteenth Special Science and Technology Fund. This dissertation is focus on the study of distribution power system harmonic eliminate and reactive power compensation, for three of the ideal equilibrium AC voltage power and the nonlinear load operation environment, focus on the distribution system for shunt active power filter on typical harmonic source network governance. SAPF can eliminate nonlinear load to the power distribution system harmonics, reactive power compensation to stabilize the supply voltage and improve power quality.This dissertation introduces the basic theory and construction of active power filter, derivates the mathematical model of three phase three wire active power filter, focus on the study of harmonic and reactive power detecting methods , choice point detection and PWM control methods. And compared to the control of triangular carrier linear and comparison hysteresis , determine the triangular carrier linear control mode uitable for the control systems.Based on the typical harmonic source in power system ,this paper study of their harmonic, and establishment a simulation model suitable for the power system . According arc furnace actual operating conditions,simulation model of Arc Furnace system, this model can accurate simulation of Arc, provide a basis for the electric arc furnace operation analysis and to improve power quality studies. Study on the control approach of SAPF and analysis the stability , determine the PI parameters of the system.. This dissertation also designs the parameters of shunt active power filter main circuit and combination with simulation to optimize the parameters.By using MATLAB, the dissertation builds simulation model of three phase three wire active power filter. Focus on the simulation analysis of the different control methods for typical harmonic source in power grids. That prove the designed control system feasibility and effectiveness.
