Entering the 21st century, the development of computer, communication and multimedia technology provides enterprises with a broad space for development. Different industries are accessing the informatization era of management, design, manufacture and production with a big stride.In the 21st century, manufacturing industry is also facing an increasingly intense global competition in the market. With the rapid development of manufacturing, China has become a real manufacturing power on the world. However, at present, there are some questions in the manufacturing field, such as the capacity of product's design and analysis is inadequate, product quality and performance can not be guaranteed. Many business analysts and designers are distributed and they can not realize the coordination and integration of design process and are more unable to take full advantage of design and analysis of resources in a large number of colleges, universities and institutes, with the absence of an effective collaborative design platform. The problem that how to combine the trend of the informatization era and achieve the informatization of manufacturing design and product, has become pending for enterprises.The development of modern computer technology accelerates the pace of manufacturing informatization, provides the advanced technical support for product's design, especially complex products such as tanks, high-speed locomotive. It also provides a good solution of many problems, which are design and manufacture difficulties, more installments, long life cycle, design and intellectual resources sharing, during the complex product's design process.By using the latest .Net computing platform and its core technology that is .Net Remoting technology, based on the subject that is the innovative design theory, methodology, application technology of mechanical and electrical products, this paper has made a deep research in the field of complex product's collaborative design, then, developed the distributed subsystem collaborative design platform of the prototype system.First of all, this paper researches the related research background and significance, and analyzes current research status both inland and abroad, then, analyzes the related and theory and technologies (including co-design theory, .NET framework technology, .NET Remoting technology and XML technology), and the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of distributed technology. Finally, design the layout design system of tan motive cabin, which is subsystem of the complex product collaborative design platform, present the method of collaborative design based on the .NET Remoting technology and took the establishment of the distributed subsystem collaborative design platform for example, demonstrated this method. In the end of the dissertation, conclusions are drawn and the future research directions in the field are suggested.
