Management Information System (MIS) is now widely used in all kinds of enterprises as an information center. It has technical-social character. With the development of the technology, the research of the social character has become one bottleneck. Meanwhile, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) is a design and evaluation theory which focuses on the human, computer and their interaction process. After several years' development, it has formed its own hierarchy. Interaction Design (ID) is one of its hierarchies which draw a lot of attention. Introducing ID into MIS is a very good cutting point of doing research on social character, which is also meet the needs of self-development.This paper first introduces the theory and development of HCI. The major topics of HCI are human, computer and their interaction. There are lots of theories and models coming up during its development. Looking back its history, it is paying more and more attention to human factor. Interaction Design is one subject which study human factor. The purpose of ID is to improve usability and user experience by designing. Once the idea was put forward, it has been widely used in lots of kinds of consumer electronic products and software systems. However, there was little progress in enterprise based MIS. In this paper, it puts forward the concept of ID of MIS. It means to design MIS not only from system or function respective, but also emphasizes on users and organization goals. By introducing the ID method, it can combine user experience, organization goal and business process together. By improving usability, it can achieve better support to enterprise. Goal-Directed Design is one the practical methods of ID. Persona and scenarios are two powerful tools for designers. By creating persona and establishing scenarios, it can sketch the daily working scenario vividly and will be the basement for further requirements and framework. In this way, the basis of design is built on the goal of the users. The research of interaction design method is carried out in three aspects: the selection of the interaction information technology, the improvement of design process and the refinement of design method. Interaction information technology is the basis of ID. This paper first discusses the relation between these two, points out interaction information technology is no longer one dependant part which affiliated to ID, but more independent part which would have big impact on ID and products. Then classification and evaluation are carried out on the different kinds of interaction information technology. For ID of MIS, platform technology is going to take the place of Framework technology, which is now the mainstream in the market, in the future.Design process is one important aspect of successful design. Both ID method and traditional structured MIS design method have its own processes and can be learnt from. The advantage of ID method is the beginning part which emphasis on user research and goal identification, while the structured way focuses on the ending part, business logic and physical design. The ID method for MIS should combine both of the advantages and extend the lifecycle. Thus one complete process from user goal identification to physical design is established and can be delivered to developer. The refinement of design method is going to re-factory of both ID and structured methods. This paper points out three methods: dual-model-oriented of user model and domain model, scenario-based requirements gathering and user/system path establishing. Dual-model-oriented means all designs are based on user and domain model. They represented the goal of users and organization. Scenario-based requirements gathering get rid of passive situation of collecting requirements. Designers work out scenarios and identify requirements. Finally two paths are built to link those separate scenarios in both user and system perspectives. In the last part of this paper, analysis and comparison are given out between ID method and structured method. Meanwhile, there are case studies on Taobao.com which focus on selection of technology, design process and methods. Together with the selected scenarios, analyses are made and suggestions are raised up.
