In papermaking enterprise, multiple data sources are introduced in the system as a result of the co-existence of the different database products and automation equipments. Different storage ways and database engines drive the enterprises to form different "Isolated islands". Because it is unable to exchange the essential data between each subsystem, such a structure of the system restrains the enterprises to make strategies effectively. In order to eliminate the phenomenon of "Isolated islands" in a papermaking enterprise and to realize a result such that all the information in the system can be shared, it is required that all the original systems must be integrated. In view that the data integration is the simplest scheme in the enterprise information integration and the project actual situation, the data integration method is adopted in this thesis to solve the enterprise information integration problem. In order to achieve a synthetic management and an optimization of a production process, the developed system must have the following functions. It can take a real-time database as the centre, gather process data of a control system, and finally realize a data sharing of a management information system.With the rapid developments of the computer, Internet, and local area network technologies, it is an inevitable trend to integrate an information system and a control system. In the thesis, a dosing process information integration system is developed for one of the papermaking enterprises in Zhejiang province. The system is developed by using the Java programming language, and a control section of the dosing process is established by using the PLC and the Kingview software.Firstly, an investigation is made for the papermaking enterprise to fully understand its technical process. Then the demands are analyzed. Based upon the above obtained results, a reasonable scheme is formulated, and the hardware and software for this scheme are finally selected. STEP7 is applied to develop the software for the control system of the dosing process, and to realize the closed-loop control strategy. In order to transfer the equipment data to the database, the Kingview is used to acquire data, to convert data, and to finally put data into the database. Under the Eclipse platform, and based on the J2EE idea, the open source Struts frame is applied to construct the stable and secure WEB server, and to realize the information platform of B/S frame to display equipment data on time and to have a statistic of the historical data.Finally, some existing problems in the system are pointed out and some concluding remarks on the directions to further research on the base of the present work are presented.
