The Analysis Of The Present Situation About The Metropolitan Newspapers In Shanxi Province

During the 1990's, the West China City Daily(WCCDaily) obtained success in short time ,after that, so many metropolitan newspapers imitated the WCCDaily in abundance, it is the reason of "the metropolitan newspapers phenomenon". The newspapers entered "the metropolitan newspaper industry time" in China. Take regards of the market quantity and the influence, the metropolitan newspapers which belonged to the national newspaper industry are prefer well. The newspaper in Shanxi Province which locates at the shore of Yellow River has the same situation. This thesis "The analysis of the present situation about the metropolitan mewspapers in Shanxi Province" mainly analyzed several metropolitan newspapers in the city of Taiyuan .It has analyzed the situation and the environment of these newspapers. On the basis of exploring the questions of these newspapers, the thesis tries to give some advices for their further development.The thesis is composed of four chapters:Chapter 1 is to discuss the booming of these newspapers. We discuss the development background of the metropolitan newspapers all over the country in order to analyze the background of those same kinds newspapers in Shanxi Province. Firstly, there are some different viewpoints of the cnnotation of rhe metropolitan newspapers. Secondly, the rising of the metropolitan newspaper is caused by the multi-factors rather than by chance.Chapter 2 is to discuss the rising and development of the metropolitan newspapers in Shanxi Province. By the way of quantity research and comparative study, we discuss the development of theses newspapers from the aspects of newspaper quality, background, contents, distribution and advertisement. There is a summary of their contribution for the development of the metropolitan newspapers in Shanxi Province.Chapter 3 is to discuss the problems met by these newspapers in Shanxi Province. The media is raised by the demand of the environment in the history of communication. Based on the premise, we try to analyze the problems and obstacles that restrict the development of those newspapers from newspaper environment all over the country, newspaper's quantity, the mechanism of newspaper, the contents and the forms of the metropolitan newspapers.Chapter 4 is to discuss the development strategy of the metropolitan newspapers in Shanxi Province. This is based on the integration of nationwide newspapers. The thesis suggest that the newspaper reform the mechanism, seek the news resources, upgrade the competition power, build the famous reputation, and expand the market on the basis of this special newspapers environment in order to help the smooth development of metropolitan newspapers in Shanxi Province.
