The Developing Of Net Item Bank System Based On WEB

Nowadays, net item bank system has become one of the major concerns in the educational reform of some vocational schools. The online item bank system for XAPI (Xi'an Aeronautic and Polytechnic Institute) is realized. The modules of this system consist of user managing, question managing, test paper supervising, on-line testing, exam score managing.This paper is intended to expound on the whole process of item bank system based on web. The part is a brief introduction to the background and significance of conducting the research, the technology used in developing this system, which includes the B/S system structure, database and so on, and the process about the system analysis, system design, and code realization.Firstly, the paper makes a brief introduction to the development of item bank system, and describes the characteristics of net item bank system, which shows that it is both necessary and feasible to build net item bank system.Secondly, through analysis of designing regulation of online item bank system, two kinds of schemes are presented and discussed. The database design which is related to choosing schemes and technological difficulties on the administration of examination question with figures are discussed. Meanwhile, some solutions to these technological difficulties are given.Thirdly, based on the general design above and modularization principle, the system is functionally made up of three parts, which are the administrator, the teacher consumer and the student consumer. The exact function of each module is discussed in detail.Finally, the net item bank system encoded by VB which runs on the windows server is realized. Each modules of system was tested by black box testing means, the system's function was verified.Now, the net item bank system is in use. The development and adoption of this system enjoys several advantages: economizing faculty resources, making resources shared and enhancing student interest in learning. In the meantime, this system will also contribute a lot to improving teaching method, teaching quality and the overall development of vocational schools in this highly-developing information society.
