Smart home network system is developing rapidly due to the great achievements in computer science, embedded system and communication technology .Smart home networks system is going closer and closer to people's daily life .It has very optimistic market prospects as the downstream industry of real estate.Although China's current smart home system has certain development, its market is still in the early stage of development, particularly lack of uniform standards and authority products.So it has very important significance to research and develop a smart home system with independent intellectual property,low-cost and easy-to-use.This paper presents a smart home network remote control plan, based on the analysis of current situation of smart home technology at home and abroad and the research of embedded internet remote control technology. The plan dvides the control system into four parts: server part, control part in remote PC, being controlled part in home gateway and the part of control nodes.Home gateway, as the core of the smart home network, is the home information network portal and manager. This paper designs a smart home gateway based on ARM and embedded OS, and describes the design and implementation of software and hardware, the formulation of embedded OS and drivers' development in detail. Server is the link between home gateway and PC. It has the functions of bridge, users' information store, checking the user online or not and so on. Control part in PC is a user interface coding with VC.Users can communicate with home gateway through the IP and port. Control nodes are running in 51 single-chips. They have the functions of data exchange with home gateway, control and reading the status of home applications. In communications, this paper programs internet P2P software to realize remote communication. In the home gateway, the paper introduces a wireless serial communication and uses simple and easy-to-use Modbus Protocol as a family internal network communication protocol.The plan doesn't take the usual C/S communication mode of using Web sever as home gateway, but designs a communication method based on P2P technology, which makes full use of internet resources, so users can easily realize the remote control and administration of home appliances by PC, solves the inadequate of smart home products in remote control function. This system has the following advantages: networking flexibility, easy installation and maintenance; system costs low, performance is stable and reliable; hardware and software to be achieved simply, software to be maintained easily, system has good scalability. Currently, the system has been successfully tested in the laboratory, and will be put into use soon.
