The sales management is an important subsystem of ERP. Its essence is to plan production and management activities of the enterprise on the basis of customer demand. The quality of sales management has direct impact on the overall situation of the enterprise. It is of especial importance for the small and medium-sized enterprise to realize powerful and suitable sale management system, and to promote its information construction through reasonable and scientific analysis and designing. Information sales management system helps enterprise reorganize the sales management, counting and analyzing various kinds of sales data, providing scientific basis for the development strategy and decision-making of the enterprise, enabling the enterprise to realize the programming, and thus enhances the overall quality of management and operation as well as market strain capacity.Based on a full understanding the sales service flow of Dalian Xinggang Canned Food Company and users' request, the paper is devoted on the discussion on the basis of service flow sale management and the demand of the analyzing system, and presents the general project design how to realize it. The system consists of altogether 7 parts, specifying the client management, seller management, sales product management, sales order management, sales contract management, the sale analysis, and inquires.By adopting Visual Basic as the development kit, taking advantage of its technical characteristics of being object-oriented, visualization programming as well as event actuation, the system has enormously enhanced the development efficiency and shortened the development cycle. In addition to it support for the system configuration of client/server, the system possesses strong ability to support the structured query language (the SQL language) and to visit the long-distance database. The entire design backstage of the system lies in its development under database SQL Server 2000, which enables it to show a comprehensive picture of the sales information to the clients, so that it has manifested the practical significance of the electronic commerce.This system has been in operation in Dalian Xinggang Canned Food Company and is being in stable condition at present. The user's interface of the system is friendly, and its operation is flexible, convenient, and practical. It accelerates the company's information processing and transmission speed, and enhances enterprise's working efficiency and work quality.
