Design And Implementation Of Beijing Road WebGIS System

WebGIS is the combination of GIS and the distributed computing technology development. Web is a platform to supply informations sharing, WebGIS use web to provide users with GIS data sharing and fetching. In fact, during the implementation of WebGIS, advantages of component GIS and interoperable GIS are used. WebGIS combines some technologies of component, interoperability, distribution to implement a excellent super media sptial space combined platform. So the WebGIS is the important development direction of GIS to the present.The value of pure GIS system is limited. WebGIS always works with other system in real project. As the basis of system, WebGIS is used and integrated with other system to implement many different application systems. For instance, "Road advance-phase decision making system" is a road WebGIS system.It record different type of information like road condition, road property (ability, road condition), all economy, coarse numerical model etc. The system final implementation function is not only to supply mange ,query and network mangage those functions but also find some unsubstantial links by analysis road net (for instance, short cut analysis, road net performance analysis and evaluation, road net rate of flow analysis etc), and that is based on the WebGIS system. To find unsubstantial links is the foundation of decision of building new rail or changing current road system. And this system can get construction standard and evaluation of all different plans by calculation and also supply evaluation for economy that is foundation to decide for some government departments.At present, WebGIS is still in investigation stage, the value of commerce is not very valuable. Those technologies that the WebGIS used like net and database are developing, so the architechture is changeable and immature. OA, Distributed space data organization and management, independent platform is the development direction of WebGIS. My document discusses and constructs a solution of indepent road WebGIS and also to implement a original shape system. I used multi-layer and current functions of Oracle 9i space spatial database to implement a system based J2ee and that is sharing of different data source and displaying of GIS picture.
