| It is true that traditional PSTN has existed more than 10 years, but it falls into trouble recently since the backward of the network structural design and switch exchange technology. Stated in detail, it'll take a long time to add some of the new services on network, even more, some others can not be added. So that both the telecom carriers and the customers are dissatisfied with these limited services provided by the traditional PSTN.A new method is put forward to solve this kind of problem in the paper that is the local PSTN optimization towards Intelligent Networks, which is combined with current popular NGN technology. In addition, a new architecture of PSTN is described by which the user information can be isolated from the switch equipment, so all of the new services can be added without redesign the equipment. It encourages the competition among service providers since it makes it easier for providers to add more services and offers the customer more choices of the services. Moreover, step by step, TDM-based PSTN will turn into Packet-based by using it.The content of this paper belongs to the modern communication technology. At the beginning of the paper, there is an introduction of the traditional PSTN and Intelligent Network included their advantages and disadvantages. And then the concept of new architecture about local PSTN optimization towards Intelligent Networks is posed and introduced based upon their present shortcomings, as mentioned earlier. Considered all of above and combined with the situation of Urumchi local PSTN, a satisfied conclusion is drawn which is the local PSTN optimization towards Intelligent Networks in Urumchi. |
