Along with the living standard enhancement, people have more and more strong need to the hospital digitization and information, as well as to the medical quality. In order to meet this kind of need, passes through several years' development, the hospital have unceasingly introduced many kinds of advanced instruments, and provided special auxiliary information system for each department. But the medical quality actually still could not achieve the anticipated effect. A main reason is various systems do things in their own way, information isolated especially serious. This problem causes material conformity and workflow coordinated between systems unable to work effectively, which enormously limit systems' function. In view of this problem, the international medical organization has proposed many kinds of integrated standards and solutions. At present the IHE integration frame is the only solution which has simultaneously considered the material form and the workflow standard integration. IHE has conformed to the HL7 and the DICOM standard, and according to them to draw up a series of workflow criterion, which has provided the quite perfect solution for the hospital interior integration.In the message structure field, the HL7 standard has laid the foundation for the non- barrier exchanging medicine data and sharing resources between region medical services. The first XML-based clinical medical industry documents-Clinical Document Architecture promoted by HL7v3.0 has been recommended by the LAB-TF in IHE Integration Framework as the standard of medical information structure.In the field of integrated solution realization, Microsoft has just launched the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), which embodies the advantages of a variety of distributed technologies. WCF has taken on its powerful capability in the realization of cross-platform, cross-process, cross-network and cross-system fields. WCF provides a perfect solution for the integration between medical systems.This paper takes LIS and the HIS information and workflow integration as an example, introduces the integrated plan and the workflow in IHE and its LAB-TF sub-frame, and the XD*-LAB integration unit in detail. Through using WCF technique and the HL7 CDA message model, taking LIS and the HIS information integration as the core, taking serves as the foundation, taking IHE workflow as criterion , a integration solution has been developed. With this solution designed and the workflow demonstration in this paper, a reliable integration template for other system is alsoprovided.
