Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a new wireless communication technology with the low-power, self-organization and multi-hop, WSN can achieve real-time monitoring, and can apperceive and collect data in the monitoring region. The sensor nodes will collect the data and send them to the user terminals through the multi-hop, self-organizing networks. WSN systems usually include sensor nodes, sink nodes and manage nodes. Monitoring data along other sensor nodes transmits by jumpping. In the process of transmission, monitoring data may be dealt with a number of nodes, after a multi-hop routing to clustering nodes, finally reached to manage node through internet or satellite. Users config and manage the sensor network through manage node, published monitoring mission and collect monitoring data.This paper mainly research of temperature measurement system in the context of wireless sensor networks. At the beginning, introduce the characteristics of wireless sensor networks, the key technologies, research status,applications and other contents; Secondly, by analyzing the environmental features of temperature monitoring, propose a suitable temperature monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks.Then introduce the snnsor node hardware design for the temperature monitoring of sensor network, and design of a mechanism for using the clustering low-power network topology protocol, the agreement to guarantee the effective sampling rate so that more under the conditions of access to dormant nodes to save energy and thus no longer effective wireless sensors network of survival time. Under the TinyOS system use nesC language design wireless communications modules and temperature sensing module drive,design and develop upper application. Finally, adoption of wireless sensor network software and hardware system testing and simulation, proved that the wireless sensor network system can fully meet the requirements of scene monitoring. and have achieved good results indoor and outdoor temperature in the actual monitoring.At last, it sums up the designing experience and point out its limitation, and makes a forecast of future work..
