Design Of Harbin Engineering University Convergence Network Based On IMS

Initially, the IMS (Ip Multi-media Subsystem) was the core standard of 3G which was set by 3GPP. Now it has been indentified by ITU-T and ETSI, and has been embedded in NGN (Next Generation Network) ,and regarded one of the important technology based of realize the FMC (Fixed net and Mobile net Convergence).This dissertation try to design the Harbin Engineering University NGN based on IMS, and the deduction take use of the framework of IMS. Persist on the regulation of the separation of net layer and the function. It includes IP-CAN access layer,IPv6 transport layer,session and control layer,application layer. Access networks and applications are separate, and so all application are available through all access networks. The IP-CAN access layer can provides wire access or wireless access for user. The transport layer bases on fiber transport network and IPv6 packet network. The function of IMS including CSCF,HSS,MRFC,MRFP,PDF, and the business layer supply the user with multimedia service, and it independ with application layer. Session and control layer which guarantee the independency of the explore and supplyment of the business.
