The research of Visible Human Project (VHP) is a multi-disciplinary subject since 20th century. The two-dimensional slice images from the field of medicine were reconstructed to be a direct-viewing stereo image, via digitization technology. This problem has important applications in diverse fields relate to body constitution.Because the quantity of Visible Chinese Human (VCH) dataset is very huge, the reconstruction and its optimizing operation base on these data require a great deal of computing resources. Fortunately, a new technology named Grid which is a new computation schema aim at complex scientific calculation can satisfy this requirement. To take full advantage of Grid resource, a new method is introduced in this paper. There are 5 parts in this paper. The meaning and development status of VCH and Grid is summarized in the first part, and then we give an outline of some basic concepts about grid, introduce the software conditions, hardware conditions and work flow of VCH reconstruction. The main part of this paper deal with the work about the reconstruction and it's optimize process which will be applied to the grid platform, including task allocation in reconstruction process, browsing the 3D-dimensional model, and the presentation of coronal section etc. We allocated the task in different cluster nodes averagely; published it in grid platform as grid services which are available in grid nodes; users can browse the reconstruction results in web pages at last. The reconstruction process under the grid environment, avoids redevelopment of algorithm, and breaks the limit of computing power, geographic location. Users can access the algorithmic resources, computational resources via Grid Portal or application.
