Embedded technology is an extension of computer technology, and its appearance has brought computer application into a new era. With the application of embedded system as a starting point, the mobile supervision system based on ARM discussed in this dissertation is constituted by combining the technologies of wireless network and video supervision and applying simple motion control method.The mobile supervision equipment studied in this system is virtually a kind of typical embedded system, including the modules of core circuit board, video sample, wireless LAN and motion control, etc. The core circuit board is made up of S3C2410 and storage devices, and it is responsible for accessing, operating and storing the data of the whole system. The modules of video sample and wireless LAN both adopt USB interface, and the video displayed at the customer terminal is sent through wireless LAN. The module of motion control controls simple motions of the supervision equipment by driving the pulse motors.The main content discussed in this dissertation includes the following aspects: Concerning hardware, necessary expansion on peripheral circuit of the core board is carried out. Concerning software of ground driver, the driving of video sample camera, the transplantation of wireless network card driver and the design of pulse motor driver are implemented. In addition, in aspect of application, the video service program, the motion control service program and the Java Applet control interface for customer downloading are designed. The customer terminal can download Java Applet through Web browser to run in local place and supervise the video, regulate the video parameter and control the motion of the supervision equipment.The mobile video supervision in this system is networked, is gone wireless and provided simple capability of remote control, which can be applied in various situations as neighborhood patrol, robot vision, transportation supervision, etc.
