At present, Chinese power industry system reform deepening progressively. It is the trend to implement the policy of"separating generation from transmission and creating a price competition system in the generation side". In this instance, the research on the bidding strategy theory and decision making support system for the power producers is very important.As a company entity in the power market, the most important thing for power supplier is to develop optimum bidding strategies to maximize its profits. In the thesis, at first, the bidding strategy is studied. Considering the fluctuation of the electricity price, a bidding strategy model based on the forecasting the probability of electricity price distribution is proposed. Improved genetic algorithm used two-dimensional code strategy is applied to solve the problem. A numerical example shows that adopting the competitive model is feasible.In a power market, generators need to commit their own transaction project to maximize the total revenue and minimize the associated risks, in which the cost of electricity and ramping constraints should be considered. So it is worth while studying how to allocate the generation capacity to the multi-electricity markets in multi-scale time. The paper presents a multi-scale temporal bidding combination model by introducing the economic concept of utility and risk management. The computation and analysis results of a numerical example are illustrated in detail, which shows that adopting the competitive model may be helpful for power generators to optimal bidding combination project within the transaction day.Along with the deregulation of the power system, for power suppliers, constructing an assistant decision marking support system to help them make more efficient management is greatly concerned. Combining with the designs of power market operation system in our country and abroad, the thesis discuss the principle and objective of the decision making support system and put forward the system general design, which comprises the system's whole structure and components, the functions of each components and the data transfer is also discussed.
