Human being having entered 21st century, the development of computer technology and communication technology promotes the development of social economy and science and technology, and also affects our daily life and work. The on-line intercourse in network is continual extending, such as distance education, computer conferencing, CSCW (Computer Supported Cooperative Work).The form of communication has presented its variability, such as text, audio, video and graphics sharing communication.The development of information technology is effecting and changing the teaching way. The black board teaching has developed to the multimedia teaching, and the two kinds of models have their own properties respectively to improve teaching system. The black board is the oldest and the most popular teaching media in recent school education. But, with the world entered an ages that regards computers and network Internet as the central calculator, more and more colorful digital media materials, such as pictures and videos, are needed in classroom teaching. And the blackboard shows the inadaptability. The defect of the blackboard which can not show the digital materials is made up by Multimedia projection System .Now the multimedia courseware for classroom demonstration and the PowerPoint have been adopted. Sometimes, the application of multimedia has become one of outstanding index. Therefore, the situation of coexistence of the blackboard and multimedia courseware is appeared in classes.However, the pure multimedia projection technology has lots of defects, such as the teacher can not interactive control the computer. We can see that, when the teacher finishing the demonstration, it is necessary to control the computer to turn to the next page. When the teacher need blackboard writing, he write on the blackboard beside the projecting screen .In the meantime, the student have to transfer line of sight between the blackboard and the projection screen .Therefore the student is distractibility. Alternatively, some teachers always sit in the seat and console, its teaching, the use of body language greatly restricted. The blackboard is covered by the projection screen in some unreasonable classrooms. So it is difficult for blackboard writing or projection.Multimedia projection system can not implement the technical scheme perfectly which integrate information technology with daily teaching. The teaching environment, which can replace the blackboard and multimedia projection system and also overcome disadvantages of the multimedia projection system, is needed by the current classroom teaching .It can introduce digital information resources and also enhance the interaction and communication between teachers and students. So it is necessary to develop the electronic whiteboard based on web.The system theory and solution scheme of the Web-based electronic whiteboard is presented in this paper. It is further studied and implemented according to practical scheme. The whole architecture, practical development methods and module setting is presented in this paper. And the logical relation of modular unit and inherent connection are designed. The position and function of the modular are further studied. The effect of combination of each module is analyzed. According to the result of analysis , the whole system architecture and main application are constructed.The sequence, multi-threaded, socket and data compression technology are further studied in this paper. This technology provides strong technical support for programming. The solution and advantages and disadvantages relation of each technology using in the system are described. These make the logic structure more compact, to reduce the runtime error and anomaly.In the graphics system, the object-oriented programming thought is used. Using the object-oriented technology provided by Java design and packaging graphics category. The graphic component technology, such as AWT,Swing,SWT, are further studied and compared. And to explain why adopting Swing component technology.The main works accomplished in the paper include:1.The whole design scheme for electronic white-board based on web is presented. The feasibility analysis and significance are discussed.2.Project construction and generalization of budgetary fund are presented. And it is examined and verified by relevant experts and leading working group, then brought into effect. 3.The architecture and development model of electronic white-board are determined. The system adopts b/s development scheme, and reject C / S development mode.4.Function module of the electronic white-board is determined, The main function is to realize graphic drawing, such as straight lines, curves, round, oval, rectangular, and other graphics and realized the function of introduced picture and preservation, online users statistics, the exchange of text, and other functions.5.The sequence and data compression technology are further studied and compared. These make the data transmission by means of the sequence and data compression. And the safety, integrity of data can be effectively guaranteed.6.The multi-threaded is further studied. It make the system resolve the problem of parallel processing capacity, accelerate operating speed, and run more stable, when multiuser use the system.7.The mode of MVC is adopted. It makes system development cycle accelerate. It is advantageous to strengthen team cooperation. It creates good environment for maintenance.8.The system testing is finished. It makes electronic whiteboard in the actual application of the teaching environment, the better the role of teachers and students or network users to provide a good platform for exchange.9.The practical expanding plan, maintenance measures and feedback information are presented.The electronic whiteboard based on web promotes the information construction and enriches teaching method. It has made a great contribution to the improvement teaching quality. It has profound impact on education way and information construction of school. It achieves the goal of the development of project for teaching. The relative technology can provide solid foundation and practical experience for the further interactive electronic whiteboard.
