| TMS320DM6446 (Davinci) is the latest embedded video system chip released by Texas Instrument. The research work in this paper is mainly about the design and implement of embedded video system based on TMS320DM6446.Firstly, it describes the theory and structure of embedded system, discusses the flow chart of embedded system development. Secondly, after detailed introduction of the structure and function of dual-core processor (ARM & DSP) TMS320DM6446, it puts forward the design and implementation method of the embedded video system based on TMS320DM6446. According to system requirement, it designs modules including Video codec, Audio codec, hard-disk, DDR2, NAND/NOR Flash, NAND, SRAM, CPLD, I~2C, CF card, ethernet, UART, and LCD etc. Then, it introduces the hardware designing, debugging procedures and pointes out some key notes in realizing a hardware system. Also, it describes flow chart, realizing procedure and debugging in software development. After that, it introduces how to boot the TMS320DM6446 Linux operating system. At last, it discusses about the design of Audio/Video codec algorithm running on Linux operating system.We searched and read lots of material about high speed design and our circuit is composed of core board and expended board. The core board is an 8 layer routed board while the expended board is a 4 layer one. When designing this board, the anti-interference capability is much considered.To improve the stability of both hardware and software, the following method is introduced in system design: Techniques concerning low-power reset, anti-electronic-magnetic interference and thermal pad; Multi-layer PCB routing, which makes a compact structure and arranges signal layer next to ground layer; Analysis system, plan system block diagram and design flow chart according to the method of software project. This greatly decreases error conditions. After all, this system has been tested of stable running, which include hardware, Boot-Loader and Linux operating system. |
