Because the devices joined networks are single relatively, so managementing them is easy relatively.But along with the development of technology of computer and micro-electronics devices can linked into networks are more and more,at the same time networks scale become big and big.At the same time the category and type of the devices emerged in endlessly,as well as the sustained functions of administration of networks of devices are prodigiously differential.All these problems resulted difficulties in administration of networks.The software about administration of networks is a sort of tool that assisted manager to manage the networks.The finally goal of these software are administrated the networks by the numbers and assure that the networks can work orderly on the basis of cutting down the workload of manager of networks.The primary functions of these software are detecting the troubles of networkes in time, analyzing and showwing the status of it.The software related to this dissertation is about IP MAN (Metropolitan Area Network ) .MAN is a sort of integrated services digital network that comparatively new.It is neither the same as the LAN,nor is it the same as the WAN.It primarily offer some digital services operation that comparatively having low-level request on security and reliability but having high_level request on the diversity of joining it.The consumer of these network always pay more attention to the expenditure of these services.This dissertation primarily narrates the design process of the data_base in the system of administration of networks.For the convenience of narrating this dissertation narrates the process on the basis of the function of the system.These functions are basal functions of the software about administration of networks.The database of this software is SYBASE.It is the result of thinking over the cost and benefit on it.Because I primarily attach myself to the design process of founding the data model,so I disinterest in the design process of the other part of the software.
