| The embedded technology, based on embedded processor and embedded operating system, has been widely used in various fields. And, with the rapid development of Internet technology, almost all computers and digital equipment can be connected by net and the information sharing has increased remarkably. Rather than the traditional serial or parallel communication, Internetization of the embedded system will become a definite direction. According to Forrester Research's study, over 95 percent of devices connected to internet will not be personal computer but embeded system capable of net communication by the year of 2010.With successful net-based communication experience in PC104 architecture, this article is dedicated to construct an ARM processor centered circuit, to design network interface, to transplant Linux, to write application program, and to realize network based communication in embedded solution.It utilizes microprocessor LPC2210 as central processor and RTL8019AS, a highly integrated chip for Ethernet application, as network interface. It analyses operating system, Linux, and transplants it into the ARM based imbedded system, localize the TCP/IP protocol stack, composes network driver program, realize data transmission between embedded uClinux and PC Linux, as well as between uClinux and PC WindowsXP. Upon the close observation and comparison, it further optimizes the algorithm for network transmission, and improve the stability of the embedded network communication.The experimental results show that this emedded solution works well with high reliability and applicability as well as the ease to operate. |
