Geometric simplicity, efficiency, reliability and light weight make waveguide slot-antenna widely used in radar system and satellite communication. Base on the analysis of inclined slot in the narrow wall of a rectangular waveguide, the paper presents a improved structure of inclined slot, which turn the erose slot problem to a regular one.The result of simulation and measure show that the structure of this antenna is feasible. Analysis and simulation result show that the structure could reduce the cross polarization quantity which inhered in inclined slot in a narrow wall and raise the cell's gain effectively. The paper equaled the influence of mutual coupling between cells to reciprocal of impedance by using periodic boundary model and evaluated the cell character of impedance in array environment accurately. Then, accurate modulation of cell excitation in array have achieved. Using improved structure cell and simple inclined slot in the narrow wall of a rectangular waveguide as the basic radiation cell, the paper designed an 20-cells resonant array and an 48-cells non-resonant array respectively. Both of the arrays are modulation by Taylor liner excitation according to the impedance chart that achieved from simulation of periodic boundary model. The general process of array design was given then.The result from both simulation and measure proved the feasibility of the design.
