This paper consists of two parts including the designs of auto measurement system for antenna and waveguide slot coupling feeding microstrip antenna array.The methods of designing for hardware and software of auto measurement system and waveguide slot coupling feeding microstrip antenna array are introduced.Antenna measurement is an important method for analysis on its performance and is one of processes finishing study of atenna system.In this paper,the design of auto measurement system for antenna is based on the combine of antenna far field measurement technology and virtual instrumental technology.Through the principle of antenna far field measurement,the whole framework of the system is gotten.The application of the instrument control technology in measurement system and the hardware of measurement system and especially the design of turntable control system and the method of controling measurement instrument based on the LAN bus are studied.The abundant functions of LabVIEW and the convenient programmable method with graphics are used in the design of software,and it makes the measurement interface more effective and more convenient.Waveguide slot coupling feeding microstrip antenna array is a microstrip antenna with a new feeding method.It is more effective and easier to be weighted amplitude compareing with microstrip line feeding microstrip antenna array.In this paper,the design of waveguide slot-microstrip coupling feeding network is based on the analysis of wavegnide slot-microstrip coupling structure.The feeding structure is suitable through adjusting slot's offset and resonance length.The series-fed microstrip patch array is designed by the transformation section weighted method and simulated.Lastly,an X-band array consisting of 16×16 elements is designed and fabricated and measured using the measurement system designed by this paper.The test result shows that the antenna's parameters are basically satisfied with the request of design.
